I have such a crush on Susie Ganch. Seriously, people - just look at this.

Wow, I have been on a somber kick lately, haven't I? First the little charred craters of Georgi Tushev's work, then Marci Washington (although her pieces do have a vibrancy not captured in the tiny thumbnails), and most recently, that story by Lorrie Moore? Seriously, it's past due time to brighten things up a bit, and what better way to do it than with pretty earrings?
- Prehnite earrings by Bluebird Designs. $24.00. (Bluebird Designs is here on Vox as well - check out the gorgeous pictures of her work!)
- Tangerine earrings by Starry Designs. $13.90.
- Abundances earrings by DorisWorks. $28.00.
Designers Heather and Kerry Alice Collins are even willing to make custom pieces from a favorite seed or twig, which is one of the loveliest ideas I have heard in a while. Also, their work is by no means restricted to botanical matter - punk rock emblems and natural sea glass both feature in their designs.
The Collins sisters show their work at craft fairs and art festivals around New England, and they are really lovely people. I believe they are actively involved in open space preservation, so there are good reasons to support them besides their wonderful designs.

It sort of reminds me of this botanical animation - familiar, strange and charming all at once.
